How to install the APK on Android
- Tap Ā«Direct APKĀ» above ā the file downloads to your Downloads folder.
- Open the download notification, or go to Files ā Downloads, and tap
freecity-android.apk. - Android will say: Ā«Install blocked from this sourceĀ». Tap Ā«SettingsĀ» ā grant install permission to the browser / file manager you opened the APK from.
- Go back and tap the APK again ā Ā«InstallĀ».
- Done ā the app shows up in your launcher. Open and tap Connect.
Direct APK install is a standard Android distribution path. The file is signed with the same key across versions, so updates apply cleanly over previous installs.
